The best holidays ever

Hello classmates! today I'm going to talk to you about the best holidays that I ever had, and I think that it is very difficult to choose just one particular event between all the nice things that happen when its summertime (or winter) and we are free to do whatever we want! But well, for this time I'll choose a summer memory: The time I met the desert, It was the summer of 2013 and I decided to go with two friends to the marvelous town of San Pedro de Atacama, so we grabbed our bags and traveled for many hours until we arrived to the magical nothingness of the desert, we visited the geysers, the salty lagoon, the moon valley and a lot of beautiful places that were stunning, and extremely different from the concept of "nature" and "beauty" that we had before going there, wich was much more like seeing trees, flowers and animals everywhere, you know, the beauty that we find in the center and south of Chile. This was the immensity of the earth in its purest expression, hundrends of kilometres of land, sometimes it was like walking on Mars. We spent just one week there, because the week after that we left San Pedro to set off on our trip to the south of Bolivia, wich is another great story haha. Our stay in San Pedro was great, we met a lot of beautiful people and learned a bit more about this strange combination of landscapes that define what is this land that we call Chile.

Saló, or 'Le 120 giornatte di Sodoma'

Hi classmates, our democratic choice give us the result of THE CREEPIEST film that we ever saw as the topic to talk about in this sunny day. Watching films is one of my favourite things in the world, so I'm very pleased anyway. Im gonna talk to you about a great film that people tends to describe as creepy and disgusting the first time they saw it, and it's called 'Saló, 120 days of Sodoma', even the name sugest that it's gonna be about excess and madness, but well.. the director is one of my favourite artist of all time, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and a funny thing to mention is that actually this is a political film, full of criticism against corrupt politicians and 'the power' itself, rich people, etc. I saw it for the first time when I was 14, and I didn't understand a thing, but THEN I rewatch it a few years later (after reading some articles about it and a friend's recommendation) and finally catch the poetry behind the images.

The film is about a bunch of rich guys, politicians and so, who are really bored and decide to organize and orgy. So they kidnap some beautiful young boys and girls into a mansion in the middle of the forest. There they abuse, rape, torture and murder the teenagers in every possible way till they get tired. (The aggressors are so cruel that they even force the teenagers to eat their own poop)

This may not be the creepiest movie that I have seen, but It's one that I recommend cause I really love the way Pasolini put into images the discontented he feels with the bourgeoisie and what he thinks about politicians in general, the cruelty and indifference in their acts. I think that is a great movie, if you can stand the blood and the poop and those kind of things, but also I think that actually the repulsion is an important part of it.

Iceland

Hi people! I'm Francisca and today we're all writing about exotic places that we want to meet someday. In my case, this place is Iceland, maybe cause a lot of music bands that I like are from this country, and I have known some of their visual world and culture. This is a country that takes care of their traditions and beliefs, very rich in spiritual and mithical traditions. And the landscapes are stunning, the people who live in this country are lucky to have geysers, volcanos and a lot of vegetation in the same place. I would love to walk around the icelandic landscapes, and talk to the residents of the most faraway places in the frozen country.
I would even like to live there for a while, a few years maybe, a little house in a meadow,
Well, I always think that you should live in a lot of different places before you die, so you'll end up having many "homes" to embrace in your memories.
